MINSK, 6 September (BelTA) - The next round of the Belarusian-German ministerial consultations was held in Berlin on 5 September, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Belarusian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko. The German one was led by State Secretary of the Federal Foreign Office Andreas Michaelis. During the negotiations the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral interaction, cooperation between Belarus and the EU, and the situation in the region.
During his stay in Berlin Oleg Kravchenko also met with Dirk Wiese, the Coordinator for Intersocietal Cooperation with Russia, Central Asia and the Eastern Partnership Countries of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
Oleg Kravchenko also met with Kurt Beck, chairman of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and Stefan Meister, head of Robert Bosch Center for Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, and Central Asia, to review the prospects for cooperation between Belarus and German political foundations and think tanks.
