MINSK, 18 August (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Bulgaria Vladimir Voronkovich met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria Yuri Sterk to discuss the development of relations between Minsk and Brussels, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The development of relations between Minsk and Brussels were discussed in the light of Bulgaria’s forthcoming presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2018,” the ministry said.
The diplomats discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral trade, economic, political, business and regional cooperation and also the prospects of holding joint events in 2017-2018.
“The parties praised the cooperation and contacts in various areas and agreed in the need to continue developing bilateral relations. The sides also exchanged opinions on the development of cooperation in international organizations,” the ministry noted.
