Belarus, Equatorial Guinea to open embassies in Minsk, Malabo

MINSK, 7 September (BelTA) – Following his talks with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, Equatorial Guinea President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo told reporters about plans to open embassies in Minsk and Malabo, BelTA has learned.

“In order to give momentum to our cooperation, Equatorial Guinea promises to accredit an ambassador-in-residence to Minsk. Likewise, I have asked the Belarusian side to accredit a Belarusian ambassador to Equatorial Guinea. This way, the diplomats will add momentum to all the agreements that have been reached today,” Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo said.

He hopes that all the bilateral documents that were signed in Minsk during the official visit will be put into practice. “Equatorial Guinea is ready to implement everything that was signed at this meeting [in Minsk],” Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo said.
