MINSK, 3 February (BelTA) – The Council on Entrepreneurship to the President of Belarus will be reformed, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at the meeting with the members of the public, representatives of the Belarusian and foreign mass media on 3 February, BelTA has learned.
“Serious work is underway to reform the Council on Entrepreneurship,” the head of state said. He noted that today the council’s performance is not particularly good.
Alexander Lukashenko believes that entrepreneurs should be actively involved in reforming the council. “Delegate those who you think should be part of this council. But let us not involve any rampant enthusiasts who talk much and do nothing,” the head of state said.
The Belarusian leader believes that the members of the council should bring up the issues that business is concerned with.
Alexander Lukashenko invited Yaroslav Romanchuk, the head of the Mises Center for Scientific Research, to join the Council on Entrepreneurship. “If you want to be part of the council, I will not object. We are currently considering candidates for the post of the chairman of the council. We want him to have administrative skills and access to the president. Following his ideas and suggestions, the council should gather information on all negative things, accumulate it and submit to the president for consideration,” the head of state said. Alexander Lukashenko noted that for the time being, the members of the council are busy solving mainly their own issues related to their business.
