Belarus’ Embassy takes part in Christmas Charity Bazaar in Ankara

MINSK, 12 December (BelTA) – Belarus’ Embassy has taken part in the annual Christmas Charity Bazaar in Ankara. The event was organized by the Association of Spouses of Heads of Diplomatic Missions and supported by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, BelTA learned from the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Türkiye.

This charity event has been held since 1981 and is becoming increasingly popular with the Turkish public. This year, more than 40 countries took part in it. Diplomatic missions presented traditional dishes, souvenirs, craftwork and other products celebrating the uniqueness of their countries.  

The stand of the Belarusian Embassy offered a wide selection of New Year gifts and souvenirs, including Polesie toys, beverages by Belalco, Minsk Sparkling Wines Factory and Lida Beer, sweets by Spartak and Kommunarka. Belarusian songs were performed during the Christmas market.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye Burak Akçapar was among many guests who visited the Belarusian stand.

This event offered a good opportunity to network and to contribute to a good cause. The money raised during the Christmas fair will go into social projects in Türkiye.
