MINSK, 10 May (BelTA) – Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko and President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Suma Chakrabarti have discussed implementation of projects in Belarus, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian government.
The meeting was held during the visit of Belarus’ delegation led by Vladimir Semashko to Jordan on 8-9 May where he took part in the EBRD Annual Meeting and Business Forum. The parties praised the progress made in promoting cooperation between Belarus and the EBRD, discussed implementation of joint projects and ways to boost cooperation.
The Belarusian delegation met with the EBRD management, representatives of a number of international financial institutions. According to the press service, the parties covered a broad range of issues related to the implementation of investment projects in Belarus, raising loans and donor financing.
Apart from that, Vladimir Semashko and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Economic Affairs of Jordan Jafar Hassan discussed cooperation prospects between Belarus and Jordan. A focus was made on trade and economic cooperation and implementation of projects in the manufacturing industry.
