Belarus, China discuss ways of maintaining law and order in context of influence of armed conflicts

MINSK, 20 September (BelTA) - A delegation of the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs is in China for the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum in Lianyungang, BelTA learned from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The head of the Belarusian delegation, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Dmitry Korzyuk took part in the grand ceremony to launch the logo of the forum. The logo symbolizes not only the transformation and transition to a new stage of cooperation in law enforcement, but also a milestone in international cooperation and innovation in public safety. The participants agreed to work towards the achievement of the universal rule of law, which will have a positive impact on the sustainable development of all countries.

Dmitry Korzyuk expressed the opinion that the meeting in this format gives an opportunity to discuss and collectively develop ways to solve the most pressing problems in international law enforcement. He also noted the developments in countering IT crimes, touched upon aspects of ensuring national security and public order in the context of the influence of armed conflicts, and preventing color revolutions.

Dmitry Korzyuk elaborated on the effective interaction with his Chinese colleagues: "Thanks to the constant personal communication between the heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus and the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China, the parties has developed a legal framework for cooperation. An exchange of experience and best practices has been put on a regular basis."

China’s Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong met with the head of the Belarusian delegation. The parties expressed their positions on the agenda, highlighted the need to strengthen cross-border cooperation in law enforcement, including the use of modern IT.
