MOSCOW, 7 September (BelTA) - Belarus and Bahrain intend to expand the legal framework of the bilateral relations, the Belarusian Embassy in Russia told BelTA following a meeting between Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Igor Petrishenko and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Russian Federation Ahmed Abdulrahman Mahmoud Ismail al-Saati.
“The parties exchanged the views on the ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation in the political, trade and economic fields, expanding the legal framework of the bilateral relations,” the press service informed.
Diplomatic relations between Belarus and Bahrain were established on 1 July 1996. In 2016 the trade between the two countries was $150,000.
