Belarus, Azerbaijan confirm readiness to strengthen trade, economic cooperation

MINSK, 4 December (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko held a working meeting with outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Belarus Ulvi Bakhshaliyev on 4 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.

The parties discussed topical issues of Belarusian-Azerbaijani cooperation, praised political contacts, constructive nature of bilateral cooperation at all levels and in various sectors, confirmed readiness to further deepen trade, economic and integration cooperation between the two countries.

Special emphasis was placed on the preparation of joint bilateral events, including the next meeting of the intergovernmental Belarusian-Azerbaijani commission on trade and economic cooperation in early 2024, a return visit of the prime minister of Azerbaijan to Belarus. The parties also discussed the preparation of the action plan (roadmap) for the development of cooperation between Belarus and Azerbaijan until 2025.

Igor Petrishenko thanked Ulvi Bakhshaliyev for his personal contribution to the development of multifaceted relations between Belarus and Azerbaijan.
