MINSK, 3 December (BelTA) – Spain has initiated and organized a video conference on Setting the Recovery of International Tourism into Action, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Spain.
Taking part in the event were representatives of the Belarusian Sport and Tourism Ministry.
Greeting speeches at the start of the video conference were offered by Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and President of the Canary Islands Angel Victor Torres. Attending the forum were also Spain’s Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism Reyes Maroto Illera, Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization Zurab Pololikashvili, President of the World Travel and Tourism Council Gloria Guevara.
The La Palma Declaration was signed at the end of the meeting. The document enshrines the principles of international tourism recovery measures and emphasizes the importance of cooperation between public and private sectors in this area.
