MINSK, 18 April (BelTA) – A Belarusian delegation will take part in the annual spring meetings of the Boards of Governors of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.
The delegation is set to make a visit to Washington from 18 to 23 April. It comprises First Deputy Finance Minister Maksim Yermolovich, First Deputy Economy Minister Dmitry Krutoi, and Dmitry Kalechits, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Belarus’ National Bank.
The meetings of the IMF and the World Bank Group bring together heads of central banks, finance and development ministers, top executives from the private sector, representatives of the civil society and academic community. They are set to discuss matters of international interest, including global economic prospects, global financial stability, and ways to tackle poverty, promote employment, growth, and economic development, and provide more effective assistance.
