MINSK, 12 June (BelTA) – Anatoly Glaz was appointed head of the department of information and digital diplomacy (spokesperson) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus on 11 June. He replaced Dmitry Mironchik who had been appointed Ambassador of Belarus to Sweden, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Anatoly Glaz has been on diplomatic service for more than 13 years, worked in the department for Eastern Europe at the Directorate-General for Europe; held the post of second and first secretary at Belarus’ embassy in Italy in 2007-2009. In 2009-2014, Anatoly Glaz worked in the Belarus President Administration as the deputy head of the foreign policy department; as senior adviser at Belarus’ Embassy in Italy in charge of bilateral political cooperation, media liaison, development of the legal framework and other issues.
This year, after returning from Rome, Anatoly Glaz continued to work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs holding the post of senior advisor with the department for international security and arms control at the Directorate General for Multilateral Diplomacy.
