Ambassadors of Tajikistan, Ecuador, Panama, Mauritania presents copies of credentials in Minsk

MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) - The ambassadors of Tajikistan, Ecuador, Panama and Mauritania presented copies of their credentials in Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan Bakhtovar Safarzoda, during which the new head of the Tajik diplomatic mission presented the copy of his credentials.

"The parties exchanged views on the state and prospects for the development of Belarusian-Tajik relations, discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda," the press service informed. "Particular attention was paid to ways of strengthening trade and economic cooperation, organizing upcoming visits of Belarusian and Tajik delegations and promoting interaction within the framework of international organizations." The parties reaffirmed their commitment to the further development of strategic partnership.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Evgeny Shestakov met the copy of the credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ecuador Juan Fernando Holguin Flores. The diplomats discussed the most pressing issues on the Belarusian-Ecuadorian agenda, including political, trade and economic cooperation. "The parties reaffirmed their commitment to promoting a more dynamic cooperation across the entire board of Belarusian-Ecuadorian agenda with an emphasis on expanding business cooperation," the Foreign Ministry said

Evgeny Shestakov also received the copies of the credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Panama Rolando Enrique Barrow Noad. "During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues of political, trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Panama, interaction within the framework of international organizations, prospects for intensifying business contacts between the two countries and implementing joint projects in such areas as agriculture and high technologies," the press service said.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the Russian Federation and concurrently to the Republic of Belarus Mohamed Mahmoud Dahi presented his credentials to the deputy minister of foreign affairs. The meeting in Minsk focused on the prospects for intensifying bilateral cooperation, the plans for promoting the political dialogue and trade and economic ties and the development of the legal framework for Belarusian-Mauritanian cooperation.
