MINSK, 17 July (BelTA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Aleinik will pay a visit to the Republic of Cuba on 17-18 July, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Cuba is an important partner for Belarus in the international arena and one of its key allies in the Western Hemisphere. Both countries maintain an active political dialogue at the highest and high levels.
In April 2022, Belarus and Cuba marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Belarus’ major exports to Cuba are tractors, trucks, internal combustion engines, tires, spare parts, agricultural machinery and equipment. Belarus’ leading exporters are Belagromash, MTZ, MAZ, MMZ, Belshina.
Belarus’ key imports from Cuba are medicines.
Trade and economic cooperation thrives mainly due to the high level of political relations and good export prospects for Belarusian goods on the back of the long-standing positive experience of using Belarus-made sophisticated technical products, primarily agricultural equipment.
