ISLAMABAD, 10 November (BelTA) - Contracts worth about $55 million were signed during the Belarusian-Pakistani business and investment forum, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mikhail Myatlikov said, BelTA has learned.
"Today we signed 8 contracts worth about $55 million and concluded a number of agreements and letters of intent. I think that we will announce new figures shortly,” said Mikhail Myatlikov.
According to him, the matter is about the supplies of tractor kits, pharmaceuticals. Products of Neman glassworks were presented at the forum; a contract to supply the first batch was signed. “The trade is mutual, the product line is expanding. We trade in more 10 commodity positions,” he informed.
Mikhail Myatlikov said that the Belarusian side signed a contract for import of rice and raw tobacco. “We feel a strong need for these products,” the BCCI Chairman explained.
The Belarusian-Pakistani business and investment forum was held as part of the official visit of Belarus’ Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on 9 to 11 November.
