MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) - Belarusian companies are gearing up to present the country's export potential at the 6th China International Import Expo, which will be held in Shanghai from 5 to 10 November, BelTA learned from the Belinterexpo exhibition enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI).

Belarus will show its best achievements in a large-scale country pavilion and commercial pavilions where representatives of enterprises will be present.

The Belarusian country pavilion will be styled as the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus. It will offer performances by opera soloists and musicians of the Bolshoi orchestra. Then the stage will turn into a light-lit podium for a show of fashion linen and natural fur collections made by the organizations of the Belarusian light industry concern Bellegprom and the Belarusian National Union of Consumer Societies Belkoopsoyuz.

The country pavilion will also run thematic days of Brest, Grodno, Vitebsk and Gomel regions.

More than 30 companies, including well-known enterprises that are part of the Belgospishcheprom and Brestmyasomolprom food and meat concerns, will present their line-ups of popular products in the Food and Agricultural Products pavilion. They will showcase a variety of Belarusian delicacies, including cheeses, milk, glazed curds, ice cream, meat products, chocolate, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The pavilion will run presentations, tastings of products, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and master classes on cooking Belarusian national dishes by famous chef Anton Kalenik.

R&D and innovative developments for the petrochemical and other industries will be on view in the High-Tech Equipment and Information Technologies pavilion.

The Consumer Goods pavilion will showcase textile products, including fur and linen goods. Products from the Belarusian President’s merchandise store will be featured on the Chinese market for the first time. The collection features sweaters, hoodies and sweatshirts with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko’s quotes.

Belarus will demonstrate its exchange, customs, educational and logistics services, the latest developments of its educational and scientific institutions, as well as the potential of the country's free economic zones in the Trade in Services pavilion. The organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus are busy selecting the best of their scientific developments that Chinese partners might find interesting.

Belarus plans an extensive information and cultural program at the exhibition in Shanghai.

“Participation in the exhibition will not be limited only to the presentation of products. The event will also help establish promising business contacts with foreign partners, as among the numerous visitors will be potential customers such as professional buyers, online stores, wholesale buyers and enterprises engaged in processing,” Belinterexpo said.

More than 70 exhibitors have confirmed their participation, but the work on the National Exposition is still in progress. Applications are open until the end of the week. Companies wishing to participate can contact the Belinterexpo exhibition enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

More than 150 countries representing the regions of Asia, Africa and Europe are expected to take part in the China International Import Expo this year.

The organizers of the Belarusian national exposition are the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its exhibition enterprise Belinterexpo.
