MINSK, 2 June (BelTA) – Belarus is interested in balanced trade and economic ties with partners all over the world, Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei told reporters during the international conference Economic Security in a Globalized World of the Minsk Dialogue expert initiative on 2 June, BelTA has learned.
“The task is that we have balanced relations with the countries of the distant arc, partners within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union. If we ensure this ratio (approximately third-third-third), we will feel confident in any difficult situation,” Vladimir Makei said.
In his words, it is especially important to ensure the diversification of export today when states face the global financial and economic crisis with amazing regularity. In these conditions it is very difficult for small countries without their own resources to survive if they depend on only one source.
