Belarus-Ecuador commission for economic cooperation to convene in late January

MINSK, 8 January (BelTA) – The second session of the Belarus-Ecuador commission for trade and economic cooperation will be held in late January 2015, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

The preparations for the session were discussed during the meeting of Belarus’ Ambassador to Ecuador Igor Poluyan with Head of the Department for Bilateral and Multilateral Relations with Europe at the Ecuadorian Foreign Ministry Gonzalo Gonzalez and with Head of the Department for External Affairs at the Office of the Vice President of Ecuador Tania Munoz on 6 January. The participants of the session will discuss the status and prospects of the implementation of joint projects in power engineering, construction, manufacturing industry, agriculture and food production, public transport, healthcare and pharmaceutics, science and technologies, and education. They will also talk over the development of the legal framework of the bilateral cooperation.

The Foreign Ministry also said that Belarus and Venezuela are preparing for a session of the high-level joint commission. The issue was discussed during the meeting of Belarusian Ambassador to Venezuela Oleg Paferov with Venezuelan Deputy Foreign Minister for Europe Calixto Ortega. The parties discussed the preparations for the next session of the Belarus-Venezuela high-level joint commission and the development of the bilateral cooperation in the areas of mutual interest.
