Belarus’ delegation holds extended talks with Nicaraguan government

MINSK, 20 July (BelTA) – The visit of the Belarusian delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik to Nicaragua began with extended negotiations with the economic bloc of the Nicaraguan government, BelTA learned from Press Secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Anatoly Glaz.

The parties discussed investment projects, supplies of Belarusian equipment, Belarus’ possible participation in major infrastructure projects of Nicaragua, cooperation in agriculture, logistics and the possibility of using port infrastructure, lending and funding, as well as forms of joint work in the markets of Latin America.

The Nicaraguan side was represented by  Adviser to the President of Nicaragua on Investment, Trade and International Cooperation Laureano Facundo Ortega Murillo, Minister of Finance and Public Credit Iván Acosta Montalván, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Oscar Mojica Obregón, Minister of Development, Industry and Trade Jesús Bermúdez Carvajal, Minister of Agriculture Bosco Martín Castillo Cruz, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Director of the Managua Municipal Transportation Regulation Institute (IRTRAMMA) Amaru Ramírez.
